Julia Maggio, Resident in Counseling

Supervised by Aziz Ross, LPC

Looking for a warm, validating space for healing and growth?

Julia specializes in supporting teens and adults who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves. Her work is grounded in the belief that everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and understood—especially during life’s most confusing or painful moments.

She has a special passion for helping clients who struggle with anxiety, emotional regulation, self-doubt, and identity-related challenges. Many of the individuals she works with are navigating transitions, whether it’s starting college, stepping into adulthood, or recovering from years of feeling not good enough.

Julia’s approach is relational, strengths-based, and deeply compassionate.

Julia builds strong therapeutic relationships rooted in empathy and trust. Her clients often say they feel at ease in her presence and appreciate her calming, nonjudgmental energy.

She tailors each session to the unique needs of her clients, drawing from evidence-based approaches like CBT, mindfulness, and person-centered therapy, while also leaving space for exploration, emotion, and reflection. Julia meets clients where they are—whether they’re talkative or quiet, unsure or highly self-aware—and helps them move toward greater clarity, confidence, and self-acceptance.
